Ministries at a Glance

 

Intercessory Prayer

The "WATCHMAN" is the intercessory prayer ministry of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C The scripture says in Ezekiel 22:30: "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found no one". In the book of 2 Chronicles 7:14 the scripture says, "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land". In the book of Hebrews 7:25 the Word of God says, "therefore He (Jesus) is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them".

The WATCHMAN consists of believers and followers of Christ who feel the biblical mandate to stand in the gap, pray, seek God and make intercession on the behalf of our world, the universal and local church, leaders in society and the church, the lost who are in need of Christ's love and for fellow Christians to be strengthened in their walk of faith with Christ Jesus, our risen Lord. The WATCHMAN ministry takes an "offensive" approach to spiritual warfare and engages the powers of darkness in this age-old cosmic battle for the Kingdom of God to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

The WATCHMAN ministry meets on Saturday mornings at 7:00 a.m. for intercessory prayer; Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for corporate prayer. They also hold various activities and events throughout the year for the education and enrichment of those interested and involved in the ministry of intercession.

 

Worship Ministry

In the book of John 4:23 Jesus said "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. "When you enter the doors of the "Success Center" at Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C ,  it is our desire that you encounter the presence of God. We understand that God is a spirit, a Holy Spirit, and the only way to worship Him is in spirit and truth. Worship is not just something that we do, but it's who we are. We were created to worship (to bestow value and honor) upon the Lord. We practice the art or life of worship personally, corporately, privately and publicly. Our time of corporate and public worship at Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C is live, loving, energetic, expressive and full of passion. We worship our God in song, hymns, with instruments of praise, poetry, dance, giving, service, the preached word and other forms of expression. As you join in with us, you are sure to have a life changing experience in the presence of the Lord!

 

Children & Youth Ministry

  

                                                                                                                                            

"S.M.G" - Salute My God is the children and youth ministry Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C, The Word of God says in the book of Ecclesiastes 12:1, "Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, "I have no pleasure in them..." The Word of God says in the book of Matthew 19:14: "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Salute my God consists of children and youth between the ages of 6 months to 17 who are being allowed to come to Christ that He may touch their lives in a very real, relevant and revolutionary way so that they will always remember and respond to Him as true disciples of Christ.

Salute my God meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. for children and youth small groups; Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. for children and youth School of Ministry and again at 11:00 a.m. for Kingdom Living classes which are designed to help them in their development as Christ-like disciples.

 

Women's Ministry

Women of Virtue is the name of the women's department of .Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C; Proverbs 31 gives many attributes of the virtuous woman. The women of Love Fellowship are virtuous (true to God, true to themselves and true to one another). This wonderful group of wise women are discovering and walking in their true purpose, potential and power of God. Come and discover the joy of becoming who you really are in God...a virtuous woman. 

The Women of Virtue meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. for women's small group; Saturday mornings at 7:00 a.m. for women's intercessory prayer and they also hold various women related activities and events throughout the year.

 

Men's Ministry

IRON MEN is the men's ministry of  The name is derived from the scripture found in Proverbs 27:17: "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend". As men who have been called out Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C by God to be representatives of the Kingdom here on earth., the biblical mandate is to live as examples of Christ-likeness in the home, church and community. In order to do this effectively there must be the development of meaningful relationships with other men and the strengthening of one another in the individual and corporate walk with God.

IRON MEN hold one another accountable to the profession of Christ's word (s), the practice of Christ's love, the principles of Christ's life and the preservation of Christ's legacy. IRON MEN sharpen, strengthen and support one another in maximizing their God-given potential with the goal of making disciplined followers of Christ all throughout the world.

IRON MEN meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. for men's small group; Saturday mornings at 7:00 a.m. for men's intercessory prayer and they hold various men related activities and events throughout the year.

 

Single's Ministry

 

The Singles Ministry of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C. is known as "Successful Singles".

This excited, diverse, group of  saved, single and satisfied men and women from age 18 and up are learning how to progressively pursue their purpose, release their potential, follow their passions while maintaining a principle based lifestyle that glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul writes in the book of I Corinthians 7:32, "But I want you to be without concern. He who is unmarried cares about the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord. "Successful Singles are committed to a lifestyle of holiness while experiencing the joy and liberty of serving God with a single focus in their individual and corporate lives. This is known as "Purpose Living".

Successful Singles meet weekly on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. for singles' cell groups and the 1st Sunday of each month Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C . is designed to address topics that are real and relevant for singles, single parents and those who are single again. Successful Singles also hold various activities, conferences and events throughout the year to educate, encourage and enrich the lives of singles throughout the Body of Christ.

 

Overcoming Marriage Ministry

 

(O.M.M) The Marriage Ministry of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C. It is comprised of married couples from various backgrounds, experiences, ethnicities, cultures and ages. We believe that marriage is the first institution God created, according to (Genesis 2:24-25). We believe in the Biblical definition of marriage, that marriage is between one man and one woman according to (Genesis 2:22-24). 

Overcoming Marriages Ministry is devoted to living out the Biblical mandate for marriage as described in (Ephesians 5:22-33)..."so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." Overcoming Marriage Ministry is devoted to four (4) guiding principles in marriage:

1) Submission: we submit to one another in the fear of God. 

2) Serve: we practice serving one another in marriage the way Jesus Christ served humanity.

3) Seek: we seek to die to ourselves and strive to do good to our spouses daily. 

4) Satisfy: we practice satisfying our spouse’s social, sexual, physical and emotional needs. 

Overcoming Marriage Ministry meets weekly at 9:00 am for Marriage Sessions during the School of Ministry hour in the educational wing of the church. O.M.M meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm for marital small group sessions. The 2nd Sunday - 10:00 am Worship Service of each month is devoted to marriage. Members of O.M.M  serve during the worship service and our Pastor and wife speak together on topics related to strengthening and improving marriages. O.M.M also hosts a quarterly marital event outside of church designed for the enjoyment, education and enrichment of each participating married couple.

 

School of Ministry

(S.O.M) The Christian Education Ministry of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C  S.O.M is held every Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the educational wing of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C  All classes are taught by Bible believing, Christ-honoring, well qualified teachers who teach on various Christian Educational topics in the areas of:

1) Faith

2) Family

3) Finances

During the S.O.M hour of ministry, we hold new members and new convert classes for individuals who recently joined the church and/or received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We also hold advanced spiritual development sessions during this hour known as "School of Leaders" for individuals who are seeking to develop their personal Christian Leadership skills to further advance the Kingdom of God by using their God-given, gifts and talents in the ministry, mission field or market place. 

 

Unity Worship Center Bible College

Is a fully accredited, academic School of Theology, where aspiring Bible believing, followers of Christ can earn Certifications in Christian Ministry, Associates, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in Theology. Unity Worship Center Bible College is a subsidiary of Gospel Schools of the Bible located in Mineral Springs, North Carolina. The Founder and President is Dr. Terry Wayne Preslar and all curricula is through Gospel Schools of the Bible and Dr. T.W. Preslar. 

All classes are taught by Bible believing, Christ-honoring, well qualified professors who hold Doctorate or Masters degrees in the area of Theology or Biblical Studies. The Dean of Academic Studies of Unity Worship Center Bible College is Pastor Christopher A. Stone and the Lead Instructor & GSB Board Member is Dr. Dwight Dameron - Senior Pastor of Faith Baptist Church.

Outreach Ministry

People That Care, Inc. is the physical and practical arms of outreach of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C. People That Care, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is educate, empower and enrich the lives of children and adults for successful living. People That Care, Inc. was founded by Christopher A. Stone, of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C.  Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C and People That Care, Inc. partner with one another to meet the spiritual, social, physical, mental, financial, emotional and educational needs of families in the community. The organizations provide after-school tutorial, food and clothing, job and life skills, mentoring, parenting, temporary shelter and substance abuse services. The Outreach Ministry of Unity Worship Center C.O.G.I.C decisively engages in the Great Commission of the Church as found in Matthew 28:18-20...to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you..." This ministry is carried out through daily, personal evangelism known as "each one reach one", weekly, neighborhood outreach designed to proclaim the good news about Jesus Christ; weekly cell/interest groups designed for education, evangelism and discipleship, monthly food and clothing giveaways, quarterly outreach events known as "Let Net" which is a principle Jesus taught in Luke 5:4..."Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." This evangelistic event is designed to draw a large number of people in one place at one time to the one God who can deliver them for power of sin and Satan.
